Jasmine's Rainbow Unicorn Party

Fairies, unicorns and rainbows … Jasmine’s fourth birthday party at Teavine House was a little girl’s dream come true.

The birthday girl gasped with delight as she entered the pavilion through a huge white cloud made of balloons, then looked up to see yet more masses of balloons strung overhead into a stunning organic garland created from orbs of all sizes in every colour of the pastel rainbow and adorned with beautiful blooms.

“Rainbows are my favourite colour,” Jazzy said joyfully.

On one side of the breezy meadow pavilion, a dreamy tea party table was set for 18 of her little friends, with tableware in swirling pastel rainbow tones to match the theme and accents of gold and silver, along with fresh blooms delightfully displayed in teapots.

At every place, sparkly plush unicorn headbands lay waiting to be worn by the young guests as they feasted on a high tea spread created by Teavine House’s chef featuring warm savouries, traditional ribbon sandwiches, and an array of unicorn-themed sweet treats.

As guests arrived, they were greeted by beautiful host, Fairy Emmy, who treated each child to unicorn-themed face-painting and colourful balloon animals and flowers.

Children gravitated to a craft table set with make-your-own unicorn necklaces and rainbow bracelets, sparkling sequin mosaics and custom unicorn colouring-in pages.

Then, through the dappled sunlight emerged a sight almost too magical to be true – a real-life unicorn stood waiting for the birthday girl in the meadow.

All the children enjoyed hand-guided unicorn pony rides, before Fairy Emmy led them in an array of fun party games including traditional favourites, Pass the Parcel, and Musical Statues.

To top it off, the guests enjoyed a stunning unicorn cake flaunting a mane of pastel rainbow ruffles, which was cut to reveal pastel-hued layers of mud cake inside.

It was a day the party princess will remember forever.
