Winter in Bloom Floral Workshops at Teavine House

Love fresh blooms?

Our friend Leena from Winter in Bloom is hosting a series of floral workshops sharing expert tips and techniques to creating your very own masterpiece from mixed seasonal blooms.

Limited places are now available for the Flower Arrangement Workshop on Sunday, 10th June, while bookings are also open for the Kids Flower Crown Workshop, which will be held during the Queensland school holidays, on Thursday, 5th July.

Taking place in the covered meadow pavilion within the picturesque grounds of Teavine House in Tallebudgera, each workshop is a unique opportunity for participants to learn a new skill in a relaxed and social environment, topped off with a delicious chef-made morning tea.

On June 10, the Teavine House meadow pavilion will be transformed into a symphony of colour and fragrance for the Flower Arrangement Workshop from 10am.

In this two-hour workshop, participants will learn how to decoratively arrange fresh flowers into an attractive container using a selection of mixed seasonal blooms.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the floristry industry, Leena will share details on how to select quality blooms, as well as information on the materials used, so that you can attempt to re-create your masterpiece in the future.

Participants will learn to pay attention to attractive colour harmonies and the different forms and textures that naturally occur in floral material.

Best of all, everyone leaves with a lovely arrangement to enjoy for days afterwards. Leena also shares tips on how to care for your flowers at home so that you can enjoy them for longer.

This workshop caters for the novice, starting with a demonstration, followed by step-by-step guidance in creating an arrangement that is sure to leave you with a sense of achievement and a smile on your face.

Then sit back and admire your handiwork as you savour a delicious morning tea featuring a selection of high tea cakes and Teavine House’s signature scones with seasonal preserve and fresh cream, as well as tea or coffee.

On Thursday, July 6, Leena will host a special Kids Flower Crown Workshop for young ones to get creative while enjoying the beauty of colourful, fresh blooms in the form of a gorgeous flower crown.

This exciting two-hour school holiday workshop for students aged between 7 and 14 is a delightful opportunity to learn a new skill and create a fabulous floral headpiece that she will love to wear with pride for the rest of the day!

Mums, dads and carers are invited to stay and spend some quality time by working together with their child to create their floral piece, or take the option for a little me time in the restaurant with a cuppa and morning tea.

This workshop is open to those aged between 7 and 14 years of age, with no experience necessary.

All materials required to complete the flower crown design are provided along with a chef-made morning tea.

Bookings are essential with limited spaces available.
